I generated a square tone with audacity and applied a few effects to it, mostly wahwah i think, and faded in and out. If you repeat it, it makes a very believable sound for an old video game machine.
I generated four square tones with increasing silence in between with audacity. The tones are the c major scale. It is very useful in old video games when you win or do something good.
Here is my attempt at making a startup sound for a video game system reminiscent of the sounds from playstation or xbox systems. I made it about 4 years prior to uploading, as the idea didn't cross my mind until now.
